About JCNC
The Jordan CIGRE National Committee (JCNC) is part of a network of over 100 national committees associated with the International Council on Large Electric Systems, known as “CIGRE International.” Established in France in 1921, CIGRE International is a global, non-governmental, non-profit organization that serves as an international forum encompassing all major topics in the field of electricity. It brings together key stakeholders, including electrical engineers, researchers, universities, producers, manufacturers, system operators, and regulatory bodies, fostering the exchange of technical information.
CIGRE International employs two primary methods to develop technical knowledge. First, through conferences, meetings, and seminars, participants produce and discuss papers. Second, permanent Study Associations tackle crucial technical subjects, conducting research and publishing their findings. This collaborative approach allows CIGRE to advance the state-of-the-art in power systems engineering and address challenges in the dynamic field of large electric systems on a global scale.
