Jordan CIGRE Women in Energy Network (JCWiE) organized an insightful workshop today at the National Electric Power Company’s Auditorium, titled “Challenges and Solutions of The Jordanian Power System.” 
The workshop focused on current technical challenges facing the transmission network and anticipated future hurdles. Proposed technical solutions were discussed, featuring the active participation of female engineers from the National Electric Power Company (NEPCO). 
The workshop also delved into distribution network issues in the West Bank, with contributions from female engineers representing the Jerusalem District Electricity Company (JDECO). 
It emphasized the regulatory framework of the energy sector in setting legislation for the integration of renewable energy into the grid. Future developments in these regulations were highlighted by a female engineer from the Energy & Minerals Regulatory Commission (EMRC).
